Hip stability isn’t about keeping your hips comple Hip stability isn’t about keeping your hips completely still — it’s about controlling movement.

A few ways I like to build that control:

• Hip hikes on a block — move the pelvis without losing trunk control
• Riser work — feel and control the right-to-left pelvic shift while adding spinal movement
• Hip airplane — use the reformer frame + block for feedback, then learn to rotate around a stable hip

The goal isn’t stiffness.
It’s knowing what should move — and what should stay supported.

Better awareness → better control → better movement.

Save this for your next hip stability session 🤍

Endometriosis isn’t always just about where it hur Endometriosis isn’t always just about where it hurts.

It’s a chronic inflammatory condition, so treatment often needs a broader view. In my practice, acupuncture and muscle work can help — but I often lean more on Chinese herbal medicine.

The whole pattern.

Everything connects.

Shoulder Series Part 2 — Mobility needs stability. Shoulder Series Part 2 — Mobility needs stability.

A shoulder doesn’t move well just because it’s flexible.

In this sequence, we first wake up the back muscles, then use the Pilates ring to explore how the shoulder blades move around the rib cage.

→ Open the scapula with outward pressure
→ Practice upward & downward rotation
→ Build serratus control
→ Add trunk rotation
→ Explore protraction & retraction with breath
→ Connect shoulder stability into mountain climbers
→ Finish with a lunge + ring rotation for smoother scapular mobility

The goal?
A shoulder blade that can move freely, but stay supported.

Everything connects.

Your neck feels tight? Try pressing here. In the Your neck feels tight?

Try pressing here.

In the clinic, I may use acupuncture to stimulate these points more directly within the tissue.

But at home, you don’t need a needle.

Use your fingers to apply firm but comfortable pressure here, then slowly turn your head from side to side.

You’re giving your nervous system a different sensory input while your neck moves.

It doesn’t replace treatment — but it can be a simple self-care tool when your neck and shoulders feel tight.

Sometimes, we don’t have to start where it hurts.

Everything connects.

Before asking the shoulder blades to move more, I Before asking the shoulder blades to move more, I first give the body a stable base.

→ Hip stability — create a steady foundation
→ Core control — keep the trunk supported
→ Protraction + retraction — restore smooth scapular glide
→ Upward + downward rotation — build movement in different directions
→ Cat–cow + Gomukhasana arms + armpit stretch — open and lengthen around the shoulder blade
→ Serratus activation — help the scapula move and stay connected to the rib cage
→ Scapular stability — finish by controlling the range we’ve created

The goal isn’t just more mobility.

It’s mobility with control, support and connection.

Everything connects.

People often expect acupuncture to start with need People often expect acupuncture to start with needles.

But sometimes, the body needs preparation first.

Pain, stress, fatigue, or an irritated nervous system can leave the body guarded and tense.

So I may begin with breathing, gentle movement, a ball, or a foam roller — helping the body settle and move more freely.

And I don’t only look at where the symptoms are.
I look at how your breathing, ribs, spine, hips, and feet work together.

☑️Sometimes treatment starts with a needle.
☑️Sometimes with a breath.
☑️Sometimes with movement.

Everything connects.

Your body is more connected than you think. Pain, Your body is more connected than you think.

Pain, posture, movement, stress, sleep, hormones — they rarely exist in isolation.

Here, I share how I connect medicine, movement, acupuncture and whole-person health to help you understand your body a little better.

Not just what to do.
But why.

Because when you understand the connections, movement and health start to make more sense.

Everything connects.

Does your lower back hurt during back extension? Does your lower back hurt during back extension?

Often, we try to lift higher by squeezing through the lower back, instead of sharing the movement through the whole body.

That’s why I build extension step by step.

→ Ground the feet — create a stable base
→ Stabilise the hips — connect the glutes
→ Create length — make space through the spine
→ Wake up the hamstrings — connect the posterior chain
→ Add rotation — free up the thoracic spine
→ Build gradually — chest lift → full extension
→ Connect everything — feet to fingertips

❤️ Length first. Extension second.

Everything connects.
