You are flexible, but why do your muscles feel so t You are flexible, but why do your muscles feel so tight?

With hypermobility, the joints may move easily while the surrounding muscles work overtime to create stability. Sometimes the joint reaches end range
before the muscle gets enough stretch or load.
So I don’t always stretch more.
Sometimes I target the tension instead.

☑️Targeted needling can help release deep tension
and help the nervous system settle.

❤️So how should you stretch if you’re hypermobile?
That’s what I’ll cover in the next reel.

Adductors don’t work alone. This second series bu Adductors don’t work alone.

This second series builds the connection from the inner thigh into the trunk, back, lateral body and opposite glute.

Length → activate → stabilise → connect.

The goal isn’t just stronger inner thighs — it’s learning how the whole body works together.

Everything connects.

When facial heat or flushing appears, Traditional When facial heat or flushing appears, Traditional Chinese Medicine may consider acupuncture points along the meridians that travel through the face.

The points selected can vary depending on where the heat is felt and the overall pattern of symptoms.

Here are 6 commonly considered points:
ST45 · ST44 · GB44 · LR2 · LI4 · LI11

Of course, acupuncture is never one-size-fits-all. The final point combination depends on the individual diagnosis, symptoms and pattern differentiation.

Save this as a simple reference 🤍

Your neck muscles can help with breathing — but th Your neck muscles can help with breathing — but they shouldn’t have to do all the work.

Poor rib movement → more work for the neck & upper traps.

That’s why I often work on rib mobility + 360° breathing when someone feels constantly tight around the neck and upper traps.

Think less about “taking a huge breath” and more about creating space for the ribs to move front, sides and back.

Better breathing mechanics.
Less unnecessary tension.
More space to move.

Everything connects.

Joint pain around menopause is common — and someti Joint pain around menopause is common — and sometimes it starts without any obvious injury.

As oestrogen drops, joints can feel stiffer, achier and more sensitive.

In my practice, I often use herbal medicine when the symptoms feel more whole-body than local. Acupuncture can still help, but sometimes the body needs more than stimulation alone.

For women who haven’t tolerated HRT well, it may also be worth discussing other options with a qualified practitioner.

My first dance challenge in 40+ years.
Behind these movements were 7 weeks of practice, sweat, stress… and a few tears. 😅

But I finished it — and that feeling is the best.

Everyone became my teacher along the way. Thank you. 🤍@kdm_studiosau

7 weeks of being two beats behind, forgetting the choreography and wondering why my brain and body refused to communicate.

Almost gave up 1,000 times.
But I’m very glad I didn’t.

Turns out being a beginner again is good for you. 🤍
